Important information from the NFU- The BPS process
The NFU has advised that the RPA are now sending out claim forms- the application process has begun so they are urging everyone to make sure that they have registered with the RPA as there are still 12% of claimants in our region that need to register on the new system.
The NFU went on to say that "Over 70,000 pre-populated BPS forms have been sent out this week via email by the RPA to farmer claimants. This heralds the start of the BPS paper based application. The RPA have also sent out map packs in the post – about 25,000 of those. The application guidance “How to apply for the 2015 Basic Payment Scheme in England” also went online on Sunday (quickly followed by version 2 on Monday) Paper copies of this will be mailed by the RPA starting 20 April. This guide answers a lot of “how to” questions so is a must read document before filling out the form."
They stated that if by the end of April farmers have not received their forms or guidance they strongly recommend they contact and chase the RPA without delay- the deadline is only eight weeks away.
