Sarah PoucherLocal businesses, community leaders, and golf enthusiasts gathered at Kenwick Park Golf Club on Friday 15 May for the annual Woldmarsh and LRSN Charity Golf Day, raising vital funds to support LRSN.
LRSN walks shoulder-to-shoulder with those in the agricultural and horticultural communities and allied industries in Lincolnshire, supporting them at every step. Through offering practical, emotional and business support, one-to-one support and guidance tailored to individual circumstances, we help to encourage resilience for the future.
The event welcomed more than 120 players and guests for a day of golf, networking, competitions, and fundraising activities, including raffles, auctions, and on-course challenges. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and participants, the day raised over £6,500 to help support the agricultural and horticultural communities in Lincolnshire.
Speaking after the event, Matt Phillips, LRSN Chairman said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, sponsored, and donated so generously. The support shown by everyone on the day and by the Woldmarsh suppliers and partners will make a real difference to the people we help every day.”
The day featured prizes for longest drive, nearest the pin, and winning teams, followed by a fabulous meal in the clubhouse and presentation ceremony.
The team at LRSN are grateful to long term supporters Woldmarsh producers Ltd for partnering on this event, without them and their enthusiasm for the day it wouldn’t be the success it is.
Nick Hopper, Procurement Director at Woldmarsh said:
“What a great day we had, we were lucky enough to have some fantastic supporters both locally and from as far afield as Milan. Working with LRSN is always a pleasure and being able to help raise funds to support them and their great work.”
Plans are already underway for next year’s Charity Golf Day, with organisers hoping to raise even more funds and welcome additional teams.
