By encouraging our members to upskill, we expand our support network and the number of people we can help.
Awareness training

LRSN partners with other organisations to offer training that we feel is important to Lincolnshire’s agricultural and horticultural communities. We are aware that the industry can be isolating and having knowledge about how to tackle the issues faced by our communities is important. Whether it is for yourself or a friend, colleague, or family member our training, and services are available for all members of the agricultural and horticultural communities and allied industries.
Judy Wood, LRSN Volunteer“I did the mental health first aid training with Gilly as part of the LRSN team training, it was so inspiring, it really makes you think.”
Zero Suicide Alliance
LRSN is a member organisation of the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) which is a collaboration of National Health Service trusts, charities, businesses, and individuals who are all committed to suicide prevention in the UK and beyond. We are an alliance of people and organisations coming together around one basic principle: Suicide is preventable.
We actively encourage members of the agricultural and horticultural communities to take the free online modules to help increase awareness and knowledge about suicide prevention. Click the link below and start the bite-sized modules.

Mental Health Awareness Training
Mental health awareness training is delivered by Gilly Steel, our Health and Wellbeing Lead who has over 25 years experience working in mental health nursing. It can be a simple half-day awareness session, a full day of training or a two-day mental health first aid course. Gilly can tailor the course to the agricultural and horticultural industries which helps to make the content easier to relate to real-life situations.
Mental Health Awareness Sessions
We are running two mental health awareness training sessions in October, one will be face-to-face (Monday 27 October) and one will take place online (Wednesday 29 October). If you would like to book onto either session, please click here.
